How do we inspect the bulk cement trailer?
In general terms, there are 6 parts to this process:
Air-cooled motor

Generally, we check 3 points with the engine running. The first is to ensure a normal start. The second is to check whether the engine overheats after prolonged work, and the last is whether the warning light can monitor the temperature of the engine and cooling system.

Tightness of the cement trailer
For this part, we usually paint a developer on the weld seam of the cement tanker to check the tightness. Tightness is related to many functions on trailers that will greatly influence your working efficiency. One is the unloading speed. With perfect tightness, air pressure can push cement dust quickly and steadily. The other is the drying of cement during transportation. As we all know, cement is easy to get wet. With seamless tank, cement powder can keep dry and avoid air pollution during the process of loading, transporting and unloading.
Cement trailer valves
To guarantee the watertightness of the cement tank trailerIf the system can reach the required pressure by calibrating the pressure relief valves, we always check if the system can reach the required pressure, then make sure that the system does not exceed the maximum pressure. If this happens, it also means a valve failure. Finally, we check if the pressure relief valve is leaking. This factor is always related to the balance hole plug, spring malfunction or simply that the valve is loose. If these three checks pass, the valves can be said to be within standard.

Axles and tires are the basis of the cement tank trailer.
The problem of axles and tires are closely related, because when axles are installed incorrectly, it will cause severe tire wear, and eventually you will have to change both. Therefore, we often check them at the same time.
The focus of this step is to align the axles, place the wheels and tires in the optimum position so that the cement tank trailer can maximize its cushioning capacity. First, we will check the leaf spring assembly, inspect the U-bolts and retaining brackets thoroughly, then check the bent wheel rim, tire pressure and tread wear, both steps can set the foundation for the trailer's performance.
Safety chains cannot be ignored
In many companies, safety chains may not be written on the checklist because they seem subtle to the whole cement powder tank. But the truth is, if cracks occur, they will be 100% responsible for decreasing the risk of an accident, so Panda will never ignore these details.
In this step, we will check to see if the safety chains are damaged or loose. Then we must cross the chains to make a simple cradle to support the beam in case it breaks, and finally, make sure to keep the chains 3-4 inches above the road.
